About LTD Board Member Heather Murphy

Former Cottage Grove City Councilor Heather Murphy is an Early Learning Administrator with the South Lane School District. Over the course of her distinguished career in education and serving children and families, Heather has a keen insight into the important role LTD plays for families in Lane County and believes strongly that rural communities should be well represented on the LTD Board. Previously, she served in Executive Director positions for CASA of Lane County and the Family Relief Nursery in Cottage Grove as well as the Yoncalla Early Works Site Liaison/Rural Policy Advisor for the Children’s Institute. Active in the community and state of Oregon, Heather serves on the Oregon Department of Education’s Kindergarten Assessment Advisory Committee while also serving on the Friends of the Children Lane County Board of Directors, 90 by 30 Steering Committee, and the Trillium Healthcare CCO Board of Directors.
