Through her work as the Executive Director of the Relief Nursery, Kelly Sutherland has a keen awareness of the needs of community members who rely on LTD for transportation. Over the years as a community and non-profit organization leader, she has developed strong relationships with the business community whose taxes fund LTD. Her interest is in furthering public/private partnerships to improve LTD’s outreach, efficiency, and sustainability of the District’s vital services. Prior to moving to the area for nearly 25 years, Kelly was an Investigative News Producer for Dateline NBC, and she has also worked for ESPN, ABC Sports, and ABC News. She is active in the community serving on Summit Bank’s Advisory Board, the Rotary Club of Eugene, and the Eugene Country Club Board of Directors. Kelly was appointed by Governor Kate Brown in Fall of 2022 to complete the last months of a term vacated by a previous board member.
