LTD Bus Operators and Administrative Staff Compete In Bus Roadeo
In a unique event, Lane Transit District employees will compete in the annual Bus Roadeo on Sunday, June 9, in LTD’s Glenwood bus yard.
Everyone from veteran bus operators and administrative staff to senior leadership will have the opportunity to show off their skills maneuvering a 40-foot LTD bus through an obstacle course.
All competitors will be scored on their driving precision and the time it takes for them to complete the various tests on the obstacle course. There are several divisions in the Bus Roadeo, from the professional Masters level to the amateur Greenhorn level.
The winner in the Masters Division will compete in the International Bus Roadeo in Austin, Texas in April 2025. The event is organized by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
