LTD Helps People Get Around During NCAA Track & Field Championships

May 29, 2024

Lane Transit District is here to help people get around during the 2024 NCAA outdoor track and field championships, taking place at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field from Wednesday, June 5 through Saturday, June 8.

“We are so excited to have all the competitors and visitors come for the championships, but this creates a lot of congestion in the area,” said Pat Walsh, LTD’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Riding the bus means you don’t have to hunt for parking or deal with traffic. Plus, you’ll save on gas and meet fellow track fans.”

This is the 15th time the championships have been held in Eugene and the first time since 2022.

In addition to riding EmX to the championships, LTD’s bus system can take people all over the area.

“Once you’ve experienced how easy it is to take the bus, we hope visitors use LTD to travel to some of our area’s unique sites,” added Walsh. “People can shop Coburg’s Antique District, enjoy a picnic at Fern Ridge Reservoir, or play disc golf at Dexter Lake Park.”

Details about how to get around via LTD are available here, or you can take a PeaceHealth Rides bike, by our partners at Cascadia Mobility.

Complete bus schedules are available online.
