LTD Hosts Block Party with Eugene Public Library, City of Eugene, and LCC
Lane Transit District (LTD), the Eugene Public Library, Lane Community College (LCC), and the City of Eugene have partnered to present the Ride, Read & Rock the Block Party in downtown Eugene on Friday, August 2 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
This free, family-friendly event at the corners of 10th Avenue and Olive Street will feature face painting, book reading on an electric bus, book bag coloring, button making, a live remote broadcast from 104.7 KDUK from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and more. Food and beverages from local food trucks will be available for purchase at the event.
“LTD welcomes people of all ages to this fun summer event,” said LTD Marketing Supervisor Cammie Harris. “Families can take LTD downtown and then read, create, and celebrate with the Eugene Public Library and LCC.”
Block Party attendees are encouraged to use LTD or its partners in public transit to get to the event. People can download the Umo Mobility app, plan their trip and purchase bus fare in advance. Another option is a PeaceHealth Rides bike, by LTD’s partners at Cascadia Mobility.
