LTD July 4th and Butte To Butte Service Announced

July 3, 2024

Lane Transit District will operate on its Sunday bus schedules on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024. The Customer Service centers in Eugene and Springfield will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. LTD’s Administrative Offices will be closed.

On July 4, LTD will operate an express service for participants in the annual OTC Butte To Butte, sponsored by Rexius, and for passengers traveling to 40th Ave. and Donald St.:

  • Route 971X will pick up passengers at the bus stop at 5th Ave. and Oak St.
  • Buses will depart every 5 to 10 minutes from 6:25 a.m. to 7:50 a.m.

Fare vouchers will be provided and handed out at the 5th and Oak bus stop.

Runners need to plan ahead of time and anticipate delays in service in order to reach the starting line before the start of the race. The pick-up and drop-off locations are at 5th and Oak to Donald and 40th, near the start of the race.

More information about LTD holiday bus service and complete bus schedules are available online. View LTD service alerts online, or follow @LaneTransit on Twitter.

There are several fireworks displays in the area, from PK Park and the Eugene Pro Rodeo to Springfield’s Light of Liberty Celebration at Island Park. Avoid congestion and the hunt for parking by taking the bus or a PeaceHealth Rides bike, by our mobility partners at Cascadia Mobility.
