Route Overview

The Diamond Express intercity transportation service operates between Oakridge and the Eugene/Springfield area.

New Way to Pay Fare

Beginning May 1, there’s a new way to pay for your ride on the LTD Connector, Rural Shuttle, Diamond Express , and Rhody Express. Riders can now pay fare using the Umo Mobility app or a reloadable tap card.

Fares

  • $2.50 or 1 ticket per one-way trip
  • $5 or 2 tickets for a round trip (includes a complimentary LTD Day Pass)
  • No other LTD Fares (such as an LTD Day Pass, 31-Day Pass, 92-Day Pass, Student Transit Pass, Honored Rider Pass) or discounts apply.

Service Hours

  • Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Does Not Run: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day

We recommend that riders returning to Oakridge make a return trip reservation by telling the operator the time they plan to make their return trip. If the last trip of the day is full, riders with reservations will be given priority and seats will then be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Within Oakridge, riders can request to get on and off the bus at any location along the route, except Highway 58. The operator will stop the bus at the nearest safe location. 
  • Traveling to Eugene Station, the bus will only serve designated stops where riders ask to get off the bus after leaving Oakridge. 
  • Traveling to Oakridge after leaving Eugene, the bus will only stop where riders ask to get off the bus.
  • The Diamond Express buses have wheelchair lifts and can each transport two mobility devices. Mobility devices must be properly secured and passengers are encouraged to use the available lap and shoulder belts for added safety. Whenever possible, passengers using wheeled mobility devices should transfer to a regular seat while travelling. 
  • The buses also have external bike racks with room for two to three bikes. Additional bicycles are allowed inside the bus only at the operator’s discretion. 
  • LTD’s Rules for Riding apply on the Diamond Express service.
